Game II Rules: NFT Arena Tournament
Subscription
Participation in the game involves obtaining an NFT from the Cryptosoccer Genesis collection. Each NFT in this collection represents a real-life football team. For example, NFT #1 features the emblem of Real Madrid, NFT #2 represents Ajax from the Netherlands, and NFT #3 showcases Uruguay’s Nacional, and so forth. There are a total of 777 NFTs, each representing a unique team.
Game Format
The game operates on a knockout basis, akin to direct elimination rounds: round of 256, round of 128, round of 64, round of 32, round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final. Each round comprises matches between the 256 grouped teams, leading to the determination of the ultimate champion.
Example of Gameplay
Here’s how the game works with an example: Suppose you acquire an NFT representing Real Madrid, while your friend obtains an NFT representing Barcelona.
Match-up: Real Madrid vs. Barcelona
If, in real life, Real Madrid defeats their opponent (Valencia) 2-0, while Barcelona wins 3-0 (vs. Celta de Vigo), the game result would be:
Game Result: Real Madrid 2 vs. Barcelona 3
On the other hand, in real life, Manchester City won their match against Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League 1-0. And Liverpool drew their match against Bayern Munich from Germany 0-0.
Game Result: Liverpool 0 vs. Manchester City 1
Thus, Real Madrid and Manchester City advance to the next round.
Next Match-ups: Manchester City vs. Real Madrid
This process repeats until all teams from the Cryptosoccer Genesis NFT collection are eliminated and proceed to the next round until there is a definitive winner.
Once the competition ends, the tournament starts again from scratch. All NFT teams renew their chances to play, earn prizes and cryptocurrencies, win, and become champions.
Participation and Results
To participate, players must mint an NFT from the Cryptosoccer Genesis collection representing a real-life team and await match results. The game operates based on real-life team performance, with the result from their first match of the week (Monday 00:00 UTC to Sunday 23:59 UTC) applied to the game. In the event that a team does not play a match during this period, the result of their last played match will be used.
Tournament Structure
Once a tournament concludes, a new one begins from scratch, with teams shuffled, new match-ups generated, and a fresh tournament commencing. With each new sale of NFTs, additional teams are added, ensuring each NFT represents a unique real-life team. This guarantees that with a single NFT, you can enjoy entertainment throughout the year.
Prizes
Prizes in cryptocurrency are awarded starting from the round of 16, with increasing rewards for advancing to the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and ultimately, the championship. By competing for lucrative prizes, we firmly believe that NFTs reaching the final rounds will increase in value due to their proximity to winning prizes.
NFT Trading
Alternatively, owners can sell their NFTs/team and pass the chance to win the championship to another in the final stretch. It’s like a real-life team about to win the Champions League being sold and changing ownership just before the final. NFTs can be sold on the secondary market at any time, enabling owners to take advantage of the opportunity to compete in the final stages of the tournament or sell the opportunity to another future owner. This adds continuous dynamism to the prices of NFTs, beyond just the favorites of big teams; all NFTs have an equal chance of winning.
